If I could change anything about my complexion, it would be my skin’s redness that can come out, especially during dry winter seasons. I always feel like I need a strong foundation to mask this up.
In the past I’ve been a little wary of mineral make-up, fearful that it wouldn’t provide the full coverage that traditional foundation does. Yet, ordinary foundation can feel thick and cakey, while mineral make-up has a much better reputation as being weightless.
StrawberryNET.com stocks Bare Escentuals BareMinerals in a shade called “Golden Fair”. Though I normally choose plain ivory or fair for my light skin, I was hoping that the gold tones would better conceal my redness.
The package came with directions, advising the user to empty its contents into the lid, then grab a brush and swirl it around. After you’ve gathered enough powder, give it a few taps to remove excess powder, and then pat the brush around on your face to ensure even coverage.
By the end of the day, I was impressed that the BareMinerals foundation hadn’t faded from my face and was able to cover any redness I acquired during the day. Plus, I love the soft, natural feel on my skin, making it feel like I hardly have any make-up on. A much better alternative to ordinary foundation!
